Schoharie County Sunshine Fair

This family-fun annual event features concerts including Josh Turner and Chubby Checker, thrilling midway rides for all ages, the Zerbini Family Circus, livestock events, Rosaire’s Royal Racing Pigs, motorsports, Extreme Raptors Show, Dock Diving Dogs, harness racing, Clydesdales, Heritage Village, exhibits, contests and plenty of tasty carnival eats.

Daily highlights:

• Tuesday – Harness Racing (noon), Donkey & Mule Show (4pm), NBHA Barrel Race (5pm)
• Wednesday – Gymkhana (4pm), Pony Pull (5pm), Josh Turner with Tom Nitti opening (7:30pm)
• Thursday – Rabbit Hopping Contest (1pm), Kids’ Bicycle Giveaway (6pm), Kiddie Tractor Pull (7pm)
• Friday – Dairy Open Show (9am), NYTPA Tractor Pull (6pm), Grand Central Station (8pm)
• Saturday – Equipment Roadeo (11am), Truck Pull (5:30pm), Chubby Checker & The Wildcats (8pm)
• Sunday – Karaoke Finals (1pm), Chainsaw Sculpture Auction (3:30pm), Demolition Derby Championship (5:30pm)

Pay-one-price admission (ages 3 & older): $15 Aug. 6, $20 Aug. 7-9, $22 Aug. 10-11 (includes unlimited midway rides, shows & attractions, parking)

Fair hours: 9am – midnight. Midway hours are 4-11pm Aug. 6 and noon-11pm Aug. 7-11.
