โจ Update: Feast of the Assumption 2023; Westbury, NY
The 112th Feast of the Assumption, hosted by the Maria SS. Dell’Assunta Society of Westbury, will take place from Friday, August 11th, through Tuesday, August 15th, located at the St. Brigid/Our Lady of Hope Regional School grounds.
A Westbury tradition for over 110 years, this annual festival features nightly musical entertainment, a midway with carnival rides and games, plenty of delicious food including home-cooked Italian fare, dessert baking contest & homemade wine contest, annual auction on Monday, vendors, raffles, and fun for the entire family!
Fireworks by Bay Fireworks Inc. will be held on Sunday night, August 13th, at approximately 9pm.
On the feast day, August 15th, there will be a Mass in honor of the Blessed Mother at 5pm followed by a procession with music by the Metropolitan Festival Band from St. Brigid’s Church to the festival grounds.
