The oldest and one of the largest state fairs in the United States, The Great New York State Fair offers nearly two weeks of entertainment, music, rides, and exhibits! The fair has been held nearly every year since 1841 and attracts close to 1 million visitors yearly.

The 2019 New York State Fair will run from Wednesday, August 21st through Labor Day, September 2nd and will showcase thousands of animals, hundreds of commercial attractions, scores of exciting carnival rides, and dozens of big-name entertainers such as Gavin DeGraw on Sept 2nd, The Roots on Sept 1st, Ice Cube on Aug 28th, Dropkick Murphy’s on Aug 25th, and many more!

Admission to the fair is $10 per person (free for children 12 and under.) Admission is $3 on Thursdays (Aug 22nd & 29th) and $1 on Opening Day (Aug 21st)ย  and Closing day (Sept 2nd.)
