39th Annual Family Festival by the Sea

This family-fun Town of Hempstead event features exciting midway rides and games for all ages, free concerts, the National Circus Project, craft vendors and a variety of fair food for every appetite.

• Thursday: Ben Goldsmith and The Original Band (6:30 pm), SixGun (8:30 pm)
• Friday: ONE – Three Dog Night tribute (7 pm), Decadia (9:15 pm)
• Saturday: Jerome “City” Smith (11:30 am), Wonderous Stories (2 pm), Nado (4:30 pm), Any Way You Want It – Journey tribute (5:30 pm), 70s Rock Parade (8:30 pm)
• Sunday: Endless Summer – Beach Boys tribute (noon), Generations (2:30 pm), Back in Time – Huey Lewis & the News tribute (5 pm), Freebird – Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute (8 pm)

Festival admission is free.

Unlimited ride wristbands (for riders 36 inches and taller) are $30 on site, or online in advance for $20 each, 2 for $30 or a Family 4 Pack (2 adult/2 child wristbands) for $60. (Pre-sale ends at 5 pm Thurs., Sept. 19.)

Ride tickets are $1.50 each, $30 for 20 tickets, or $60 for 50 tickets plus 1 free ride. (Rides take 2 or more tickets each.)

Midway hours are 5-10 pm Thursday, 5-11 pm Friday, noon-11 pm Saturday and noon-10 pm Sunday. The festival opens at 5 pm Thursday – Friday and 11 am Saturday – Sunday. Look for signs on Lido Boulevard for free shuttle bus service to and from the festival site.
