Long Island FunFest

This family-fun annual event features live music and entertainment, favorite fair food, and midway games and rides for all ages.

Included with admission are the Pirates of the Colombian Caribbean Aerial High Wire Thrill Show, interactive Butterfly Encounter, a petting zoo, Saturday night fireworks and the World of Wonders sideshow acts under the big top, starring fire eaters, sword swallowers, knife throwers, snake charmers and more, and Houdini-style escape artist shows.

Also free with admission are concerts by Frankie Justin (9 pm June 15), La Elegancis de la Salsa (8 pm June 17), Frank Latorre and The King Beez (7 pm June 19), Beatles tribute band Penny Lane (7 pm June 20), Keith Anderson (9 pm June 22), Mariachi Sol Mixteco (8 pm June 24) and many other acts.

FunFest admission is $5 and free for children under 36 inches tall. Unlimited ride wristbands (for riders 36 inches or taller) are $30. Ride tickets are $1.50 each, $25 for 20 tickets, or $50 for 50 tickets plus 1 free ride. Rides take 2 or more tickets each.

Daily specials include:

• Thursday Carload Nights ($40 per vehicle for admission and unlimited rides)
• Free admission from noon to 1 pm on Saturdays and Sundays
• $1 Day Monday ($1 admission, $1 food specials, and $1 per ride with a minimum $10 ride ticket purchase)
• Tuesday and Wednesday BOGO Nights (buy one unlimited ride wristband, get one free)

To reach the Suffolk County Community College fairgrounds, take Exit 53S off the Long Island Expressway and use the Wicks Road campus entrance. There is no charge for FunFest parking.
